Welcome to Maplewood Farm in Calais, Vermont

 About the Farm
Maplewood Farm is a family owned and operated farm. It consists of 185 acres of conserved land  located in the historic district of Calais, Vermont.  The Morse family has been immersed in agricultural business for hundreds of years, and continues to do so.  As with all businesses, farms undergo change and diversification.  The farm no longer a dairy business, and is a conserved farm with the Vermont Land Trust.  In 2014, most of the Guernseys were sold, however a few remained to produce raw milk for local customers.

David Morse and Kathryn Saunders own and manage Maplewood Farm .  David was born and raised in Calais on a dairy farm, and has farmed his entire life. Kathryn has raised sheep and poultry for over 30 years and became a dairy farmer after marrying David.
The farm was certified organic by NOFA VT as of September 2011.  The fields, hay, and cows are cared for and maintained under organic standards.

Kathryn has graduated from Escoffier Culinary Academy in both the Pastry/Baking and Culinary programs. Their goal is to have a farm to table venue at the farm.
